eddo, the cheaper prices i mentioned are apparently special deals through pricewatch

not sure if these links will work but maybe

computerbrain $179

ewiz $190

it also looks like the deals through pricewatch change frequently but there are definately hot deals going through pricewatch

Beware of FuturePowerPC.com. Although their web site said it was in stock, and I called immediately ( like 1 minute) before I placed my order for verbal confirmation it was in stock, 24 hours later the status of my order still said "ETA." So I called to find out what "ETA" meant (although in my gut I already knew) and sure enough I was told it was on back order. And now, the same thing might be happening with wallapc.com. Their website said "Yes it is in stock and go to ASUS for specs" (like they were tired of being asked if it was in stock) so I ordered it. Now it has been 24 hours and the order status still says "Processing." I have just fired off an email to their sales support to inquire about why the long processing time. I'll let you know what happens.

Monarch is an awesome deal if you need Far-Cry and HL2, just get the combo with one of their competitively priced processors. I also like the fact that they stand behind the motherboard + CPU combo so if it gives me problems, back it all goes to Monarch.

Ok, it's been almost 44 hours since I cancelled my order from futurepowerpc.com and placed my order with wallapc.com. Th order status with wallapc.com STILL says "Processing." Come on. . you gotta do better than that. . .44 hours and still Processing for an item paid by credit card (yes the card is good) which is supposedly IN STOCK and ordered during regular monday-friday business days!? I smell a rat. Order cancelled. Besides, they wanted 205 and now Monarch is down to 188. Way to loose a sale wallapc! You snooze you loose.
