At that price i would not expect them to go OOS. this is a $200 board and that was what i paid i was not willing to pay more and did not anyone who does creates this problem of companies like the egg. Newegg was once the place to order your items now i order just about 50% of my stuff there, they got too big and they know it.

Repost from Page 10 -- anyone know about this company??? Thanks.

How about $204 + $23.10 UPS ground shipping at this site:

http://certifiedcomp.com/shop/...ct.php?productid=50356

I have never heard of them before, and tried looking them up here ( http://www.resellerratings.com/seller8952.html ), but there are no reviews there for them.

I'm leary of ordering from this site (and though I'm wanting one pretty badly, I am waiting until next week, and someone else will probably be available and reasonable by then).

chumbo.com eta is 1/7/05 only a week away, and the cost is 201.99 if you preorder...
If you havent bought this board already, id suggest preordering before the price goes up (as it has every other site) :)

link here
Free 2day FedEx, and for 5 bucks you get standard overnight shipping.

for $274, i bet they have a LOT of them in stock.
Id much rather wait a week, or as ayeco clarified... ELEVEN days... for the board from chumbo(201.99)
I personally dont have all of my components yet so the wait is actually kind of nice, getting the new bios that asus has been working on etc etc. Plus trying to find a PCI-E 6800GT is near impossible at the moment, at least at a reasonable price it is :)

now maybe i misread this but, according to this magical slip in my EVGA 6600GT says that there is a upgrade plan where up to 90 days after you purchase the card you can send it back to them and they will credit you whatever you paid for it towards another card.

NOW! i could of misread it but if thats true, I'll just use it until the 6800GT goes down in price and upgrade for hopefully 100-200 more :D

BRILLIANT! (or is it @_@)

not to be rude, but how does this pertain to this thread?
you ought to post this in a new thread in video.

well the primary problem for people purchasing this card is finding a videocard that is pci express and not rediculously expensive. Since some of the earlier posts are trying to find a cheap 6800GT this could be a potential answer to their problem instead of just waiting for the cards to drop in price.

Seems like Chumbo is the best bet at this point? But I'm just wondering if I order now, and they get them in stock next week, will mine ship right away, or will they have to first ship a bunch of back orders? Well, obviously depends on how many others have orders pending and also how many they get in stock, but I'm wondering anyone's opinions about Chumbo's reputation or your past experiences w/them.

I ordered my PCIe 6800GT from them. Well packaged, free, fast delivery, and quick shipment. I would say go for it, or at least send them an e-mail.

Well, pass the Vaseline. I needed to get a system this week to expense it for 2004, so I went ahead and got a combo from Monarch. They had among the best non-CA prices for the OCZ Platinum 2, a 90nm A64 3500, and a 6600GT. I tried to get them to lower the price on the mobo from 274, since I was buying over $1k of stuff, but they wouldn't budge. The pain is offset by the free Far Cry and HL2 they throw in with the combos. I was going to buy those anyway.

I was at Directron.com getting a FPS 550 PSU, and noticed they are listing the A8N SLI for $232.00. Their site doesn't show whether it's in stock, though. The savings wasn't enough to make me cancel my Monarch order, since I was going to buy the two games. The OP may want to add Directron to the list at the top.
