Asus A7V8X Support

Am I correct that my motherboard, the A7V8X does not support Dual Channel memory? Also, would I yield much performance gain in an upgrade from a WD Special Ed 80 gb drive to two Raptors run in Raid-0?

The A7V8X is a Via KT400 board and does not support dual channel DDR. As for RAID, no idea. Anyone else?
