ASUS A7V266E Jumper question

While setting the jumpers on my new board I notice this jumper called THEMCPU dead next to the Palomino or Athlon/Duron jumper block. Further reading says pins 1 and 2 for Athlon/Duron and pins 2 and 3 for RESERVED cpu. Does anyone have any clue what RESERVED cpu is? Is this yet another reference to the Palomino core cpu's? Or just making room for future as of yet unforseen cores that may be in R&D?

It would be nice to set this to the appropriate setting rather than just skipping passed it.

Thanks,

it was meant to be the thermal diode on the Athlon XPs, but it doesn't work properly. It doesn't seem calibrated right, as it only differences 2-3 degrees between no load and max load. Everyone also has the same temps, about 50C.
