I have an ASUS A7V133 MB with the Fasttrack 100 Lite Raid Controller. Until now I was running Windows 98SE on an 80 GIG (2 40GB WD drives) striped array from the the fasttrack.
I now want to upgrade to Windows XP, but the install does not recognize the Fasttrack controller driver that came with the motherboard CD. I have tried downloading various drivers for this but none seem to work. Which I should try next ?
Also, I just bought DRIVEZILLA (WD 200GB Special Edition) and want to install it without having to use their controller card. I upgraded my MB BIOS from 1001c to 1009 but it still seems like the machine only sees 137GB on the drive. I am plugging it into the primary IDE controller since the Promise has the RAID array running on it, so I figured the MB BIOS upgrade should take care of the problem, but alas so far so bad...
I can install XP onto that drive, but still the RAID/Promise controller are not installed. I tried installing them after installing the OS but it still doesn't like any of the drivers I have given it. Not to mention that it is a pain in the butt to get drivers from ASUS.com since their FTP server seems to be down all the time....
HELP!!! Anyone please...I am so frustrated.
