I just got an A7V133 and I have a question that I can't find an answer for:

How do I change the PCI/AGP busses to run properly? I have a 1.2G with 100FSB and when I switch it to 133 FSB and 9X multiplier I get a PCI bus of 45 and AGP of 90. I think this is probably the reason that I can't get to 150FSB.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What bios are you using? i have 1005 and any fsb over 120 uses a pci multiplier of 1/4. so at 133x0.25 you should get a pci freq of 33.25
if your bios dosen't do this (can't remember if mine did or didn't before i got 1005) then try a newer bios. also what ram are you using, and remember that your cpu should only be 100!!!!

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll update the bios and see if that will do it. I have infineon ram and leave it set "byspd" with all the lowes tsettings so I'm pretty sure it's nott hat. It's worth looking at though. As far as the CPU goes, as long as I don't push the multiplier too high it should be fine. 9x133 is the same as 12x100. BTW, it is factory unlocked.

factory unlocked applies to the multiplier only. 9x133 & 12x100 will get you the same frequency but your cpu is an athlon B. this is the one rated with a 100Mhz fsb it is the athlon C that is rated for a 133 fsb. you should still be able to O/C the fsb but i will be suprised if you can get it to 133. if you do please let me know.

I have had it running at 133 with no problem at all. I have also read that it doesn't matter which revision the chip is, they can all handle 133 and I have seen many people post that they get them up to 150-160. My problem is that I don't like my PCI/AGP busses so high.

She's running at 133 FSB right now. I changed the bios to 1005a but I still get Sisoft showing that the PCI/AGP busses are too high. Anyone else have any ideas?

Is ur SISSOFT running right? Is not a problem in the SISOFT?
And are you using the divider in 1/4? If you are might be the SISOFT, cause with frequencies too high like that probably you would having problems already.

yup i agree with above, the problem is probably sisoft, ive noticed lots of things it shows incorrectly.

the a7v133 automatic changed the ratio from 1/3 and 2/3 to 1/4 and 1/2 when the fsb is over (i cant remember for sure, i think it was either 120fsb or 122fsb)

Alright, that got it. So I guess then that the ram is probably the reason I can't get 150FSB out of her? I'll try playimg aroumd with it and see.

One question, if I set the Ram in bios to 7ns 143Mhz, will it stay at 143Mhz regardless of what the FSB is, or does it add to the 143?

If your ram can handle set it too 7ns 143..just gives better memory performance and does not lock your fsb..if ram does like the setting just change it back

Ok, I set the Ram at 7ns 143Mhz without a problem normally, but when I try to go to a 150FSB my computer won't boot.

Your mobo might be limited to below 150 fsb. Try actively cooling the clock generator. Try less aggresive setiings for ram. Try PC166 ram..
