ASUS A7V133-C or MSI K7T-Turbo2?

I really want to know + and - of these two boards (KT133A) :

ASUS A7V133-C and
MSI K7T Turbo2

I've heard somewhere that K7T Turbo2 do not set the multiplier until BIOS has "passed", is that true? If that is true then it must be problem to o/c with multiplier on that board...
It might be the same for the ASUS-board, or?

Please help me.... I want to overclock, overclock and gaming!

While I don't have the answer for you (I too am researching this) I did recently install a refurb MSI K7T Turbo2 board in my wife's system. I too had problems with the multiplier function in the BIOS. I didn't really attempt much as I was on a time crunch (she gets nervous without her system!), but it did not seem to "take" when I changed the multiplier. I had downloaded and installe the latest BIOS also. I was just using a Duron 900 and didn't try unlocking it on the chip though. Anyway, I would like to see what others say also. BTW, the board seems pretty fast and stable so far.

What kind of CPU are you going to run. I know it will be an AMD but will it be a T-bird or an XP. I have used both boards. The A7V133 overclocked great with a T-bird, but to run a XP you had to upgrade the BIOS. The only way I could get it to run stable with an XP was to set it up maually (to 133) using the jumpers and not in the BIOS. The MSI board just didnt do it for me. It seemed a little eratic to me, small problems here and there, I just didnt care for it much. Both boards are still in use, the MSI in my girlfriends and the A7V133 in my Moms.
I don't know what your situation is ( if you have both boards or found really killer deals on them or what ) but there are newer boards out that would work better for what you want to do. Just my opinion. Hope that helps.

I'm planning to run a T-bird 1st (probably a 1.1GHz or a 1.0GHz) just for the thrill of overclocking...
If I'm not satisfied with the result I might run a XP (but that's in the future).

Someone might ask why, I'm selling out some old stuff and for the money I can get one of the mobo's in the earlier post plus a T-bird. Yeah, I can add a couple of money and get a XP immediately, but I'd like to tweak and see if AMD is a choice for me (and here in Sweden I can't choose between so many different kinda things for that money). I'm running Intel right now.

My opinion would be the A7V133 then. It ran my 1200 T-bird @ 1400 for about a year without any problems. Not a massive overclock, but that was my daily machine. Remember though, your performance with overclocking and stability with an XP may not be so good.

I've changed my mind...

I have ordered a ASUS A7A266-E and a AMD XP 1800+, heard some rumours that this combo is not the best, but it's ordered and I'll let you know if it works good or not at all.
