Asus a7v133 and Promise Drivers?

HI
As a result of a corrupted or failed boot sector on the hard drive in my pc, I have to do a low level format and reinstall all the software. I got the newest VIA 4 in 1 drivers and other drivers I will need. Also, I flashed the bios to 1008.
After the flash I noticed the Promise driver that shows during boot up has changed. I built the pc about 8 months ago and can't find my notes on what I did in regards to loading additional Promise drivers. The Asus web site doesn't show any additional drivers (or, I missed finding them on the site) for the Promise controller Thinking back to when I built the pc, my memory is kinda fuzzy about what I did with the Promise driver. I am using the on board Promise controller and use the ata 100 setup.
Do I need to download any additional drivers to update the Promise controller???
Thanks

You are not giving enough information about what kinda OS you are running on it.

If you are running windows XP then you dont have to do anything at all. all the drivers for promise will be loaded automatically.

Since you're using win98se, the newest Promise driver is version 2.00 build 29 right now. You can check what you have by going in to Device manager and looking at your SCSI controller. You can get the U100_v200_b29.zip file at ftp. asuscom.de
