I know this is an old board but I got it cheap from a freind to build a computer for my daughter. Here is the problem I am not real experienced at this so any help will be appeciated. I have got everything put together but when I try to start up it goes thru the boot up it goes thru all the checks like memory and IDE devices etc. but when it goes to load the OS which is XP it goes to the screen that says windows did not load properly and asks if I want to start in normal or safe mode but won't let me do either.
here is what I have.

Asus A7V( Non ATA100 Version)
one Sick PC133 256MB and One PC133 512MB
AMD Athlon 1.3Ghz 200fsb
