So I bought the processor ... plugged it in. 13 X 100. I let Prime95 run for a few hours .. no problem. I ran a few benchmarks ... Sandra, Winstone, etc. ... no problem. Then I play counter-strike for a few minutes and it craps out ... screen freezes ... have to manually reboot.

Zeppelin, I am having the exact same problem pretty much. I just bought a 1Ghz AXIA chip, and plugged it into my K7T Pro2-A. Only able to get up to 850Mhz and it runs fine, until I try playing some games and it locks up, only a manual reboot will help. I too was hoping to wait on some of the newer chipsets, but I must play games... 🙁

Is yours a 266 fsb or 200 fsb?

guys does it freeze only during online games or offline games also?, if it only freeze during online games, problem might be your NIC card. I had same proble with my EPOX & 1.2ghz chip, I though it was the mobo or driver error but after I replace the NIC card it worked fine, no more freezes,,

My CPU is a 266 FSB, but my motherboard is a 200 FSB...

Mine locks up playing either, online or offline...

I think it doesn't like me...

Interesting BlackCatt.I have a K7T Pro2-A also and was about to upgrade my 800MHz T-Bird with a 1.2GHz 266FSB chip but now I'm thinking I might need to go with a 200FSB chip?Anybody out there running a 1.2GHz 266FSB or better on a K7T Pro2-A without any problems?
