ASUS a7v northbridge chipset fan stopped...

I tried pulling them and it seems they are held on by the springs. There are a couple screws but I'm not sure if that will get it off or not.

You may have to take the board out of the case to pop the springs off. Try running the board without the fan and see if it's stable. I used an Epox board that had a seized fan before and was perfectly stable. If you can just take the fan itself off to give the HS some more airflow and see what happens.

Yeah, It has been out for a few months and has been pretty darn stable. I guess I could just leave it how it is and it would be fine.

The fan on my a7v133 started making really annoying whirring noises so I just took it off and it worked fine. Most of the other manufacturers didn't even put a fan on the northbridge chipset, they just cooled it passively so it's not really necessary.
