ASUS A7V is Not Suck

OK I Had an ASUS A7V for about 2 months now and everything worked fine, 2 weeks ago I added a DVD Drive and a Hollywood + Hardware Decoder Hard, and since then HELL broke loose. Now I can't boot off my ATA 100 Controller or it'll Freeze. I RMA'd the board and got another 1 and same problem, I think it might be an IRQ Error since I installed all my PCI Cards same way that I did when my old Mobo got messed up, :|. Now I'm gonna buy an ABit Kt7-RAID and hope this crap doesn't happen again, if it does i might as well stop using computers cause I want my damn ATA 100 HD not no damn ATA 66, and I need all my ATA 66 Ports anyways, so in conclusion ASUS A7V is Suck. BTW ASUS Tech Support Sucks.

You have tried the latest BIOS version 1005C, yes?

Do you also have the latest drivers for the ATA100 Controller?

If you think you have an IRQ problem, how about disabling the COM ports if you don't use them.

ASUS never ever replies to emails.....that IS a problem.

I think it's an IRQ problem cause when I set my HD to ATA 66 It works, and when I disable Load Onboard ATA 100 Bios It works. 🙁
 
KT133A is out now, the Abit KT7A-RAID is out, the Epox KT133A is out, and the Soltek is out as well.

Asus A7V is NOT suck for you infomation. It is one of the most stable board that I have come across. Works wonderfully for me and have not had a single hiccup so to speak since I've owned it.

Did you try taking all that crap outta your system and then trying to run it bare? If I remember correctly there are the IRQ problems with PCI slot 1 and 2, I think they share the IRQ and if your hardware won't accept it you'll have problems.

Other then that there is nothing to complain about. Gotta love those 4(four) IDE channels and 7(seven) USB ports.
