Just wondering why there are differences between the BIOS on Asus website
between the USA site, Taiwan site and the Germany site. Version 1005's are
only available on the Taiwan site which I have a booting problems with the
ATA100 chip. It does not recognize my ATA100 20GB drive. It works fine on
the ATA66 channel.
 
Yeah.. there are still some odd issues with the PROMISE controller not identifying all HD's.
It doesn't ID my 30GB 75GXP, but I could care less really.
I think it has something to do with the fact that the promise card is treated like a PCI device by the motherboard.

That's all I know..
THe best BIOS' are the 1003, and the 1005d
