Hi guys, I have this board and whenever I try to get on my college's network I get kicked off and the guy here is telling me that I'm getting kicked off due to the fact that the board is sending out "bad hardware addresses". I pluged in my Pci NIc and it works fine. Anyway to fix the onboard NIC? Anyone know?

Are u using the 3com NIC or the nVidia one son? THe 3Com has problems sometimes. Disable it bios, and connect the cabl into the lower NIC (the nVidia one). Or vise versa.

Good Luck.

I know the my univ needs the MAC inorder to get on... if that's true for you, are you sure you submitted it, and is it the right one. That might be what the tech person is referring to...

yea I ran ipconfig and submitted it multiple times for both jsut to be sure....didn't work....would let me on for a while but i get kicked off in a few hrs

Hmm... I weird. I'm still using my pci card here because I didn't want to have to re-submit the address and have them take a week to do their thing. Makes me a little concerned about next year when I planned on using one of the integrated controlers.
