Asus A7N8x deluxe and the Silicon Image 3112 SATA controller

How in the world do I flash the bios on this motherboard? It has the raid bios, and I really want the standard base bios so that I can use the two SATA ports for two devices.

I can't seem to get anything from silicon image or from Asus.

Here's the relevant Silicon Image Link:

and here's the relevant Asus link:

I tried the Windows XP flash utility from SI, but it won't even recognize the 3112 controller when I give it the PCI address. I also tried their DOS utility, and it'll find the controller, but it won't write the bios to it because it recognizes it as a motherboard based bios. I'm tempted to use the bios for the add in card on it, but that's probably a bad idea.

Thanks for any help.

normally the BIOS for an addon controller is part of the main mobo BIOS so to update the controller BIOS you flash the whole mobo BIOS.
