Asus A7N8x deluxe and the Silicon Image 3112 SATA controller

How in the world do I flash the bios on this motherboard? It has the raid bios, and I really want the standard base bios so that I can use the two SATA ports for two devices.

I can't seem to get anything from silicon image or from Asus.

I tried the Windows XP flash utility from SI, but it won't even recognize the 3112 controller when I give it the PCI address. I also tried their DOS utility, and it'll find the controller, but it won't write the bios to it because it recognizes it as a motherboard based bios. I'm tempted to use the bios for the add in card on it, but that's probably a bad idea.

normally the BIOS for an addon controller is part of the main mobo BIOS so to update the controller BIOS you flash the whole mobo BIOS.
