Hello all,

My OLD sys config:-

1) AMD Athlon XP 2000+
2) Asus A7N266-VM MOBO
3) 256 MB Hynix DDR RAM
4) P4 300watts Power Supply UNIT
5) Seagate Baracuda 7200RPM 80 GB

its around 4 years OLD now and has started making this Ambulance kind of Noise whenever i try to Boot XP. i have checked the individual components like Processor and RAM, both are working properly without any problem.

i even put in the thermal paste for the Processor thinking it might be a heat problem but thats not the case...🙁

its really hard to understand what the problem is and by any chance if any of u guys have come across the same prob, please feel free to post in your suggestion.

I remember one time trying to remove a fixed internal modem on a POS Packard Bell, and it making that sound. It was loud, and kinda scary. Do you have a PCI winmodem or some other add-in card installed? Maybe try removing them one at a time to isolate the problem...

well i dont have any Addon card, i dont know why the hell it started making this crazy noise(ambulance type). nobody knows what the F*** problem is, i even googled it and found nothing in return 🙁 so sad. its really amazing that nobody in ATOT had come across this problem!!
