Asus a7n266-C Nforce 415D is here!

nice find, but i think the Abit NV17 is better... that's what i am getting next week. cute little microATX with tons of goodies, that's the way to go.

4.9/7.0 on Reseller Ratings

45% of the people would not recommend the site to another person
45% of the people would not buy from them again
45% of the people were not satisfied with the company

NOT A HOT DEAL IMHO

Hmmm...This may make me rethink the Shuttle AK3GTR that I just ordered now that the 415Ds are coming out.

while the ratings aren't stellar, they're pretty good to work with. A friend of mine bought a bunch of his components there. They even let him pick them up (they're in Chicago area). He had A LOT of motherboards issues and they took it back without any hassle. I'm sure YMMV, but from what I've seen, they okay to deal with.

🙂

What's the deal with this chipset???? Is it just like the nForce 420 without the video controller???? Does it still have a dual-channel DDR memory controller??? Should I force myself to go to nvidia.com to have my questions answered???

Bingo on both accounts. Exactly like the 420 minus the video controller.

i was eyeing the abit nv17m...i have some crucial 256 ddr from best buy (w/ samsung chips), would that work fine with it?

are there any other nforce microatx boards out there? so far msi and asus are putting out full atx boards

🙁🙁🙁

Well, I called SpartanTech and talked to a Sales guy.

After explaining to him that one of the best things about these boards was the audio, he went and checked.

He has confirmed that this board doesn't do onboard audio.

Now, this is a sales guy, so take this with a grain of salt or two.

I don't know if the board just doesnt have the ACR sound card included with it, or if just doens't do audio at all.

So, bad news for those of us waiting on the Asus A7N266-C with audio.

Good news for people looking to add their own audio.

Guy from SpartanTech had no idea when they were going to get the A7N266-C's with audio, but said if he had to guess, it'd probably be another 2-3 weeks!

Asus, tell me it ain't so! :Q
