here's the scenario, I've just installed the Asus A7A266-E mobo on my comp and booted it up. First time was no prob.. the second time around and onwards, the keyboard wouldn't work while in bios setup or even after POST. Hope I didn't bust the keyboard port or anything.. What happened here? This is a ps/2 keyboard also, if that helps. Thanks.

<edit>
Seems like it won't even go past POST now..
also, I use a 250w psu.. is that sufficient?

There is a USB keyboard option that you have to enable in the BIOS. Hit Del when it initially boots up and look around for it. It should work fine.

Did you try flashing the new bios. It is suppose to fix some keyboard problem ?

PSU probably is weak, I use a 320W and my 5V line is a little low.

I had some problems with my usb keyboard, not ps2 though. The problem wasn't bios related, just in stupid win98, no problems with xp ever.

I use a 250W power supply on my A7A266-E system as well, and I don't have problems. I don't think power supply is the source of your problems.

Have you tried another keyboard?
