Asus 9800XT?

Asus recently (about 3 weeks ago) released their 9800XT, which looks kinda like the Gainward's 6800GT except red. Looks sweet, but how good really is a 9800XT? Is it worth the 450 bucks?

Unless you're thinking of the X800 XT Platinum, no...the 9800XT is not worth $450. Get yourself, at the very least, a 6800GT. In fact, a 6800GT shouldn't cost more than $400, currently.

That's a last generation card posted on a site that doesn't seem to want to get with the times. That sort of price should be the X800pro which is a good 75% faster than the 9800XT.

You might beable to find an x800xt for that price and its at the least 2x as fast.

That card is sweet looking though.

Oh? Well I only judged when it was out by when I first saw an ad for it so I really don't know. 450 bucks! Unbelieveable!

I'm sure someone will end up buying it though. Probably the people who think if it costs more its better will end up buying it.
