Asus is making some nice stuff -- their TN monitors quality-wise are as good as the top brands, IMO having seen them in person. And that VW looks really nice being 1920 x 1200, as opposed to much of their 24" line which is 1080p.

Maybe I'm wrong on the price of the second one. The VK model has a webcam

Both models have DVI, HDMI, VGA and Component inputs

The price on the 2nd is right $330 after $30 rebate.

Tempting!

arghhh! I just bought the 2253BW because the other Asus deal for an almost 24" monitor involved 5ms panel and 1080P resolution. What do you know, 2 days later after I put in an order, a nice 25.5" 2ms 1920x1200 is on sale. F***!

Indeed... I just got a monitor 6 months ago and now I feel like swapping. Really nice deal.

I guess the USB is for the camera> Too bad it didn't have a USB hub on the side like my Dells.

Damn just dropped $350 on the 26" LG last month... Wish I had waited for this one... The LG only has 1 DVI and 1 VGA. This has DVI/HDMI/VGA/Composite/Component. GRRRRR

I just hope my luck is better this time. From my sig you'll see what my old monitor was. Only had it 3 months before the HD and DVI ports both died forcing me to use VGA. When I called Sceptre for an RMA they sounded like a bunch of teens running a basement operation snickering and laughing in the backround. I was told by them that they do not offer advanced RMA and that it takes 4-8 weeks from the time it is recieved to inspect and or repair before I get it back. Was also told directly from them that this was a known issue with all of there products and will likely happen again so I just delt with VGA. That was untill about 2 months ago when it simply died. Luckily I had a friend with a spare 19 inch CRT monitor laying around that was very awesome and let me use it untill I could get a new one.

Asus has always been a good company to me. I hate the motherboard I have right now but untill I can afford to splurge on I7 im holding out. From what I have been reading the past few weeks the 32nm I7's will be introducing usb 3.0 which makes me want to wait. But back on topic this monitor looked awesome on paper and the screenshots made it looks extreamly hard to pass up. Just wish I could have found some video reviews on it but thats ok.

Thanks again for the promo code as it lowered my price to 329 before rebate and free shipping :)

you go to Live.com and register for an account (live account or msn/hotmail). Then you click on the Live Cashback link in the upper right of the screen. You'll need to open the cashback account, which is tied to your live/hotmail account. Then do the search for newegg again, and there should be a "live cashback" link next to the sponsored results...

..except now that I do it, the link isn't there (it is for Tiger)...hmm

What are yall talking about with the live thing?

Since there is a lack of reviews on this monitor how many people out there either already have this monitor or have purchased it as well? Mine will be here friday and my hopes are high.

I have never had an Asus monitor but from what I have found; they are extremely great especially for a TN panel and price. I was hoping for friday, but mine wont be here till monday:(

I had my eye several 24"+ monitors for weeks and finally decided on this one Thursday. Luckily I saw this post at the last minute, and the promo code saved me $20. Tanks OP!

Hope I am as fortunate as most reviewers at Newegg and get one with no dead pixels.

Got mine today.....ZERO dead pixels. Color, bright, contrast all overdone, naturally, but some minor tinkering with adjustments and it looks just fine.

Thanks, again, OP!
