I'm not implying anything.

BTW, the Astros have won 2 of them in this series also, like, you know.

ETA - The Braves' 96 wins don't mean crapola if they don't make it any further. 🙂
Have you seen their team? Did you see the expectations at the beginning of the season? They weren't supposed to finish higher then third. I'd say this was a successful season regardless of what happens in the playoffs. There's a reason Bobby Cox is going to win manager of the year, it's not like management gave him a team like the ones he got in the past.

Nah... Mgr of the year should be LaRussa. His team was projected third.
Psh, he was playing in an incredibly strong division (on paper at least). I don't think anyone thought he had a bad team. The Braves though... didn't they go like 1-10 in the preseason too. They were horrible

I'd certainly say it was a success. As a Mets fans I watch every Braves game to keep tabs on the competition and while they overachieved (much like the 2000 Mets that somehow made it to the world series) they were picked to finish way behind the Phillies. Bobby Cox used smart managing to take advantage of every situation and the poor play of the rest of the NL East.

wow.. 12 runs.. no way the 'stros can screw this up.

PlatinumGold - ready to cry Uncle? 😉
Cue up PlatinumGold marveling at how the Braves are the epitome of consistency, winning umpteen straight division titles and exiting the playoffs early yet again. 😀

You're reaching back to pre-season? That's kinda sad at this point. You should just say "Congratulations" and be done with it.

Go Stros!!!

no, if you look at attendance you have to go WAYYY back. Didn't the Braves not sell out their last home game in the last world series they were in? Now that's just straight up pathetic of Atlanta.

why should i cry? i'm not a mets fan, or a phillies fan for petes sake.

i'd still rather follow the braves than the mets or phillies or even the marlins who won it all last year.

The Braves didn't sell out then. The Braves FINALLY sold out tonight.

I'm glad there were more people in their stands tonight to see the Astros win.

Go Stros!

I never said anything about the Astros. In fact I said the Braves deserved to lose. You guys are the one coming in here making jokes about their desire to win, i'm merely defending them. And how does the division series have anything to do with a discussion about the manager of the year award?

/me puts away his now antique, '95 World Championship t-shirt.

It was all my fault. I spilled some steak sauce on my sleeve. 🙁

was it a sellout tonight? I recall the Fox announcers saying people showed up, but it wasn't packed. Wouldn't surprise me if 1/3 of them were Astros fans either. Felt like the Cubs were at home last year when they played @ Turner Field
