Hmm, there's another Z22 at buy.com, one that is $79.99, and on order. What's the difference?

I am wondering about the printer. Do a search on BUY.COM for "Z22". There are three different items. According to the rebate form:

"Lexmark System Builder versions (boxes lacking a ?proof of purchase? seal) and Lexmark printers purchased through Target,
Wal-mart, Dell, or Gigabuys are excluded from this offer."

Anyone know if the above linked Z22 printer is acceptable for the rebate?

I've been itching for a USB scanner. I figure this is the best way to go. I'm getting it for half price and a free printer. I figure I can give the printer away for Christmas, or sell it on e-B-a-y. Hmmmmm. If I sell it, then I could recoup most of that $44 I spent on this deal.

I FREAKING LOVE DEAL FORUMS!!!! I have bought/aquired more stuff in the last 8 months since I started playing with them. So far I've gotten a free HP 930c printer, a almost free 700 mhz PIII, now the scanner and printer. And numerous other little deals and freebies. This has been great.


Oh this is crap. Aparently the word "E * B * A * Y" is a forbidden word on Anandtech. Gimme a break.

Well, what the hell. I've been wanting a USB scanner for a while too. The scanner also has a $20 rebate and the printer has a $30 rebate. So if worse comes to worse, you could just use those two rebates instead of the $80 rebate.

I don't see why the $65 Lexmark printer couldn't be bought for the $80 rebate. I'm sure it would come in a retail box, don't you guys think so ?? The $79 dollar printer is the one which has the $30 rebate link....

I just searched for the Z22 on pricegrabber.com using the part# on the buy.com site. It came up with three sites, buy.com, onvia, pcmall, and ecost. They had the Z22 from $65.99 to $79.99. The Onvia site listed the printer with the $30 rebate. Therefore, I am now 99% sure this will work.

This deal had better work. I placed my order last night. Also, the coupon listed on the Scanner page is out of date. Had to be postmarked by Oct 16th. So you'll have to stick to the $80 coupon.

Just checked and ordered. In my basket the item was listed as Z22 COLOR JETPRINTER FOR ONVIA AND BUY.COM ONLY, at the price of $65.99, same info as before. However when I clicked on the link the item was Z22 COLOR JETPRINTER FOR INTERNET RESELLERS ONLY, at the price of $79.99, with the same item number as the previous listing. Good thing buy.com keeps the price at the time you placed the items in the basket!

Well....my scanner will be here on the 30th, and my printer on the 31st. So here we go. Hopefully this rebate will pan out!

I just ordered the Z22 from Staples. I PM it with NuTrend computer for $65 and got free shipping from Staples. I then used the $20 off $50, then with the $30 rebate it came out to about $15 for this nice printer shipped! Not too bad of a deal.
