Well that's one of the single stupidest things I've ever heard. "We're insignificant on a cosmic scale, therefore we are insignificant on Earth." Bullsh*t! Now if someone said we had the power to enact universal climate change, clearly we don't. But cosmic insignificance should not be confused with global insignificance.
