$399 base price - $100 rebate

3 day s/h is $50, but there is a coupon for $10 off s/h if you use paypal (google for "newegg coupons")

Save another $15 if you do the paypal $15 off $30 rebate which expires March 31st

Best case scenario (which I got):
400 - 100 + 40 - 15 = $325 after shipping and rebates

This is my first HD display, I bought it to go with a $199 (after rebates) Compaq 3.3 ghz celeron desktop that I got from CompUSA today

You might be dissapointed with this as a monitor, although it probably makes a decent TV.

27" is very large for 1366 x 768.

really? what about all the 32s and 37s? they are all same res.

the 32's and 37's are not meant for pc's (though they are fire for presentation/conference room... just not really for desktop use).

Really? im fine with my 32inch at 1366 x 766

I won't be putting this on my desk, that's where my laptop is. I plan on replacing my tv with this (about a foot away) and connecting with wireless inputs (gotta start searching for a bluetooth trackball...)

Wow!!!
I'm really considering buying this tv.
I dont really know a lot about HDTV's
but I know that I eventually want to get one...
and this one sounds like a killer deal!!!

Here are my questions:
If I have a evga 8800 gts will I be able to play my games at 1680 x 1050 or higher?Or will I be stuck playing games at 1366 x 766
Also does this support 720p and 1080i HDTV resolutions?(I have no idea what this is but everyone talks about it..lol)
Would I be able to watch tv or cable on it with out a tv tuner?
Right now I have a dell 20.1 inch widescreen monitor.

Please have mercy on me...don't bite my head off...I'm new to the HDTV thing.
I have done a little research but,I would like the advice of the pros..lol

No, this is a medium resolution TV, not a high end monitor. It will only handle 1366x766, so you won't be able to play at 1680 x 1050 (which is standard resolution for 20" and 22" LCD monitors).

It is approximately 720p. 1080p would be a 1920x1200 LCD.

It is what it is, which is a decent LCD TV; but its not going to make a very good computer monitor especially for someone like yourself coming from a 20" 1680x1050 display. It would be like running your 20" @ 1152 x 864.

As a TV its fine - just nothing to get excited about.

I've been using my 32" 720p hdtv as my montior for just over two months.

It's FANTASTIC for gaming (Counter Strike: Source), and works very well for anything else!

1366x766 gives you enough workspace, and all modern game give you the option of a 16:9 or 16:10 display... so no need to worry about wasted space.

I just got this TV shipped to me on Friday. I got it from MacMall, but same deal.

You need the DVI to HDMI adapter which they do not include.

No dead pixels, Xbox360 looks great on it. Haven't tried TV or PC yet.

The speakers SUCK. I mean SUCK. They almost sound like they are blown out, and I have read many reviews saying the same thing, so it's not just mine. Going from volume 0 to volume 1 you hear REALLY loud fuzz. Do not plan on using the built-in speakers, I am already searching for some alternatives. I am not an audio snob by any means, but these things are just plain annoying.

I got it yesterday and have only used it a little but I like it alot. And I don't think my graphics card supports 1366 x so I'm running in 1024x768 and perfectly happy with that.
Picture is great, I've used it with windows, xbox, dvd, and analog cable. And the speakers are also pretty good, I don't hear any noises going from 0 to 1 volume, and I found the wideness of the audio to be pretty nice (unit shipped from Memphis warehouse). When I first powered up the unit I found the right speaker would make an audible vibration depending on the source, but after a few minutes that stopped and it sounded fine. But I'll be using my existing sound system from now on so I don't care.
The unit itself looks really nice, with a shiny black finish.
I do have 2 complaints though:
1) I can see vertically scrolling bars when there is no image and the background is black (such as the blank screen after an FBI warning on a dvd)
2) since I replaced my old tv with this one, analog radio reception has gotten fuzzier when the LCD is powered on
