I know nothing but that was my first assumption. I's sort of like imagining that Hunter Biden left a packet of cocaine in the White House rather than some Republican planted it there.

One of the more interesting narratives we often hear about AI is that it is like a natural animal in the wild. That legally we can't determine liabilty. And that's really nonsense. Because autonomous or not, AI is a tool invented and used by people. And as with any tool, the inventors and the users are liable when anything goes wrong.
