assigning IRQ

Can i decide on assigning IRQs when i am in logged in in win 2000? I have no use for the serial ports onboard and I can see that (dr. hardware benchtest) 2 IRQs are dedicated to these ports where as the modem and the video card share an IRQ and the USB and the scsi (pci card) share another IRQ. the bios doesn't giv me any option to set the IRQ for the video card or USB port. Is there any way i can assign withwin windows? thanks in advance

Disable the serial ports in the motherboard BIOS. Win2K will automatically release the IRQs.

Only 4 IRQs are available for all the PCI slots, the AGP slot, and the USB controller.

The motherboard circuits are designed so that certain slots always share with certain other slots or the USB.

This cannot be changed.
