I'm planning on building a new comp. in a month or so and have winnowed the choices down to the list below. Since Crossfire looks to be delayed, there's no point in waiting any longer to see if ATI has a superior dual GPU solution to Nvidia. Hopefully AMD makes some price cuts between now and then as well. The system's primary purpose is gaming, MMORPG's in specific. I would like to do some moderate overclocking too.

Case: Praetorian 730

Motherboard: Asus a8n-SLi Premium

CPU: A64 3700+ SD

RAM: Corsair 3200 2 x 1 gig. Twin X 2.5-3-3-6

Heatsink: Thermalright xp-120 w/ Vantec 120mm stealth fan (This may be overkill as I do not plan on doing any hardcore overclocking)

PSU: OCZ Powerstream 520w

HD. Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250 gig.

Vid. Card: Asus 6800 GT (cheapest 6800 GT I could find in Canada)

Dvd writer: BenQ dw1620

Monitor: Hyundai L90D+

Not at all. $2568.00 before taxes/shipping. I hope to avoid the shipping by picking most of it up at Dangeo, although I'll probably buy the monitor and a couple of other things from NCIX.

I was just looking at NCIX and the BFG 6800 GT is going for 449 so I'll probably grab that one instead of the ASUS. Prices may still fall (I guess I can dream).

*edit* My mistake on the BFG card, it's AGP. Looks like the ASUS still. To the post below, no , it's not the 128mb version, and it is PCIe.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not get that Asus 6800gt. If that is the cheapest one you could find, it's probably the crippled one, with 128mb of memory and a lot of other lowered specs.

The BFG one is excellent though.

yeah, get BFG is possible...
Also, vantec stealths are actually loud with their whining noise.. Get a nexus 120mm.

Any other recommendations on the monitor at around the same price point? Dell Canada doesn't seem to offer any discounts on their LCDs, or I perhaps I've missed them.
