I hear it's disappointing and very buggy, so no. Might rent it for my PS3... eventually.

It seemed like everyone here who was experiencing bugs was playing the PS3 version. I played the 360 version and didn't have any issues, FWIW. I don't know if that is true in general.

I picked it up a two days ago and so far I have about 4 hours into it. I got the PS3 version. And as I don't know what these bugs are. But I have none of those.

I got it as a gift. It was fun but extremely repetitive. Same thing over and over and over and over. A lot of the traveling was annoying as crap. Also a few bugs on the 360 version. Quite a few times I would be almost done killing like 20 people surrounding me (took forever) and then it would all the sudden reset me like I had died even though I didn't. That was totally lame. a few other bugs I can't remember. Also a lot of times it was frustrating because it wasn't clear at all what you were suppose to do next. I don't ever think it told me how to come up behind someone and assassinate them. Nothing in the manual either. So I kept failing over and over on some missions. All these things add up to make a pretty frustrating game at times. The ending totally sucked. Not really even an ending. Was annoying with the future stuff if anything. Most the time when they talked I just tried to zone out because it was mind numbingly boring story and to long and to many cut scenes.

All that being said I'm still glad I played it. I did have fun. Just it could have been so much better. I wish it had more free roam type of things. The city and areas are amazing and the graphics are good. It would have been so nice if you could choose your own missions around the city to do at your leisure. The ones they give you are pointless, I mean all the flags and towers and stuff like that.

It is not worth 10 dollars imo.

Would you say $10 would be better spent seeing a movie in a theatre or with this game?

With the crap they call movies now I'd rather spend the $10 towards a half decent game with more than 5 minutes of entertainment.

Upon starting up the game for the first time, it did download a update that was 1.10. Of course I don't know what the update was suppose to do for the game. You could be right though.

I just got it from GameFly for the PS3. Pretty fun so far. Made me download a patch, so it seems that they probably fixed the bugs.

I'd like to amend my earlier comments. I've gotten into the real gameplay and it seems kind of blah. I've never been a big fan of the open world concept games (eg. GTA), and I'm getting really bored with the "run here and talk to/pickpocket/beat up this guy" missions. Probably returning it soon.

Yeah not only is it repetitive but it is also boring. That makes it epic fail.

Contrast that with Crackdown which was repetitive but somehow still super amazing fun.

I would pay $30 for PS3 if I could find it. I really wanna try it, but people are saying it is repetitive and such, and I can play it once and be satisfied, but if it is THAT Repetitive....there might be a problem.

It's not too long (9 assassinations + the ending), so you might as well finish it. Took me 3 solid nights. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but traveling from place to place (within the cities) was tiresome.

Darn, you guys are making me retroactively dislike the game. I enjoyed it for the 4 nights it took to beat it, but now I'm sitting here saying to myself "Yea, that aspect was pretty lousy."

Yeah, I decided to give it another chance. I'm enjoying it moderately and I'm about 2/3 through. I'm really only playing to further the current day timeline. It's obvious what's going to happen with Altair, but I don't know about Desmond.

I liked the game, but it did get repetitive. The story was good. The "boss" assassinations were good. Unfortunately, the activities you do to get to the bosses get old quickly.
