Victory in quotes as that is the rumored name could be some thing else

Well it looks like they will be revealing the new AC game come May 12th.
There is a quick teaser trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TP_vFBoLqs

And when you go to the site it gives you pretty much 100% evidence that it is going to be in London/Britain, as you can hear a clock tower (big ben), carved in to the wood "good save the queen"

And was kinda of hoping that they would slow down the released.

Hopefully Ubisoft has learned their lesson and won't try to pass off an early beta as a finished game this time. I'm not holding my breath though.

Not playing another one until they set it in China and/or Japan.

Fans of the series have been begging for that since way back when they asked where to set AC3. Maybe they don't think an eastern theme would click with the general American audience. They're probably right too.

There is no indication that this game has had any more time to bake than Unity. I don't think this one will magically be any better from a QA perspective.

If I ever get back to the series, I'll play through Black Flag and call it good.

I think an episode in China/Japan would be epic. They've overdone Europe & North America.

However, I remember watching videos of the last one, set in Paris - Cheesy accents in English. Could you imagine the reaction if it was in an Asian locale? I'm not sure if there'd be calls of racism, but it would be discussed

Let's face it: Nowadays, the only way that developers can get away with Asian accents in English is through comedic parody, à la Lo Wang/Shadow Warrior.

Maybe if they'd trust us to enjoy the experience by keeping it in the native tongue... but alas, they mostly don't.

My 2 cents.

Looking forward to this one, as I have all the previous ones. Blag Flag was still my least favourite of all of them. Unity had some great strengths but ultimately it was a weak story.

After the coup that was ship based combat in ac iv was revoked I am not sure I can get excited over an AC game anymore. I also think u isoft hugely diluted the series by releasing two games last year. They are just brand money grabs now.

I wonder if it will be like the transition from AC to AC2. Honestly, AC was more like a tech demo to show off all the cool things that you can do... which doesn't include swimming. AC2 used the same engine (maybe with some tweaks) and made everything much better. If they use the same engine as Unity, it would save them a ton of time.

Im sure it will be the same engine. 2, 2B and 2R used the same one. I think 3 was possibly new, or at least a newer version of the same thing.
