Asrock z68 extreme3 gen3 Issue?

Hi guys so i got my stuff today and did the install. Everything powers up and i can see all my RAM and everything looks good. But my cpu is running at 52c (have reseated it) and my 5870 is very hot to the touch? this is just in the bios, have not installed windows yet.

This is not normal right? any suggestions?

at BIOS, the CPU isn't idle... mine runs above 50C on stock cooler

install windows, load up HWMonitor and see it truly at idle

first of all you gotta install some utilities
CPUID GPUZ Realtemp
You didnt mention Heatsink
If stock then yes, will go up to 80 or 90 under overclock - or even fail

Thanks guys, installed windows and some util's and temps seem fine. was a little hasty i guess. will post pics of new rig a little later.

A very good board, if you do decide to pull the trigger and have a K cpu with plans of overclocking, I can certainly help you out if you need it. I owned one and it was a good performer and excellent features for the price.

Ditch the GamerExtreme... FSP Epsilon based, unreliable, crap unit. I'd suggest getting a better PSU;
