ASRock mobo problems

Hello,

If you were to have an ATX mother board and you have the 20 pin power cable and the 4 pin power cable plugged in should there be a glowing light on the mother board if the power supply is on?

Whew, mouthful there.

Also, if there is not a light (assuming that there should be) is there a problem with the mother board?

No, there isn't a power LED on the motherboard itself.

How do you know that power is running through the mobo then? I have seen a little glowing light on older mother boards that turn on if
power is running through them...

hmm i dunno but i've just noticed asrock mb's have wayy too many problems, i guess people get what they pay for.. sorry for no input op.
contact asrock customer service?

I am replacing the mobo through newegg.com(the peeps I bough it from). Hopefully that
mobo will work with the chip and RAM I have.

Also another question: if just the 20 pin power supply and the 4 pin power supply for the ATX motherboard are plugged in
should the system post if power is turned on?

Not with out a processor and RAM, I don't think.

Look around, every brand of motherboard has problems. I have an ASRock that has been rock solid at 2.7Ghz since the day I got it. I also had an NF2 board that must have been made of steel, it just wouldnt die, no matter what I did to it.
