I'm looking to put together a budget system for a friend. I've heard good things about the AsRock K7V88. I plan to use a Sempron 2600 and Corsair 512MB 3200 Value ram.

1. Has anyone had an issues/problems with this board?

2. How is the documentation? Are the instructions detailed?

3. Is the board stable?

4. Would you recommend this board?

My friend plans to use his computer for surfing the internet, word processing and light gaming. Also, can anyone provide any links for reviews?

Thank you!

I just installed mine this weekend...it was easy to install (one jumper change for FSB) and I was on my way. Had a fresh install of WINXP running within an hour of pulling my old motherboard out. I am running mine with a Barton 2800+ and 512mb DDR 2700. Having tried any gaming yet.

I like the motherboard...especially having 6 USB2 ports is nice!

I've put together a few systems with this board, and I like it a lot. Never had one issue, the board is very stable. The online documentation is ok, the printed manual is only a "quick guide" in a few languages, but it should be ok to get the system running.

I would recommend this board to anyone, has amazing value for your money! I would recommend you get dual channel RAM though. I haven't had time to do more benchmarks but you get close to 300MB/s increase in memory bandwidth with Everest.
