I am wondering if you took the time to read what I wrote 10 minutes ago:

Unfortunately, it is people like you that bring most confusion to forum discussions, as you feel confident replying on basis of what you saw by scrolling trough in couple of seconds, and someone like you will just pick up where you left.

Your argument case still doesn't hold up for overclocking. Yes it says 143% frequency increase, ok thats fine and dandy BUT it doesn't say 143% vcore increase. You may be able to set the frequency and if you have a lucky chip, it will be able to run at those speeds. Asrock is smart enough to not have Vcore because if you start raising vcore you will burn the mosfets. Who knows, it might of had vcore in earlier revisions but they might have removed it due to burn out issues. Still, if you can adjust the frequency, its still not false advertising. I was able to take my 3570k to 4.2ghz without a voltage increase at all.

If you want to do some overclocking with more options, buy a better motherboard, period. Asrock doesn't make bad motherboards.

Guess I doubted your tech knowledge, but not to try to be smug or make fun of you. It's simply a legitimate question in this matter:

a. you are a first time buyer: yes, it sucks. Don't let it happen again, come here and ask for advice when buying again.

b. you have some experience: did you really honestly believe that board would live up to the claim? You should also know overclocking comes with no guarantees whatsoever.

As for the box art: no, it's not false advertising and yes, it is misleading advertising. But what advertising isn't? Did you really expect to be followed around by a horde of hot women fighting among themselves over your attention when you spray some Axe under your armpit? (don't bother, i tried already)

Ok, so this might be a bit more blatant, but all tech companies do it. There's a shitload of graphs where a 10% difference looks like 90%. And they all tout features that really don't mean all that much like the second coming of christ. Guess we can't stop you from feeling disappointed but it's also a fact that Asrock makes plenty good boards that have no trouble at all getting a 143% overclock.

Trouble is, good 775 boards are really hard to find these days. Would recommend a gigabyte P45 UD3P if you want some serious OC. Got Anandtech editors gold award I believe.
