ASRock Extreme4 Z77 - onboard sound has much less bass response vs old system?

I just built a new system and am using an ASRock Extreme4 Z77 motherboard, and my Logitech Z5000 system no longer has the low frequency bass response it used to have with my old pre-built Dell Inspirion 530 system.

Is there any way I can regain the low-frequency bass response I used to get? Maybe a 3rd party program? I installed the drivers that came with the ASRock Extreme 4 Z77 which that came with a THX program, but it hasn't helped.

Try enabling the Enhancements/SRS WOW effect in Windows Media Player.

I have the AsRock 6 Z77 board, I'm using a turtle beach head set X32 I've never had such great sound before. I am also using the Nvidia sound drivers, so not sure if that is the factor here with you.
You may look for a up date patch for your sound system, I don't see a Dell being a superior setup to yours..............As suggested it may just be an adjustment setting.

The Dell likely had some sort of Bass Boost dialed in. What you are hearing now is a flat response; what it's supposed to sound like, so if you are feeding sound to a high quality receiver/amp with full range speakers, it sounds correct. Enabling a similar enhancer isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just a modification from neutral.

The X32 has nothing to do with your motherboard's audio, nor anything with your GPU. It has its own self-contained DAC and amp, and relies almost solely on networking, from your PC.

Just noticed that the THX TruStudio settings software that came with my ASRock board was adding it's own boost to various frequencies, distorting the sound I was getting.. turned it off and the sound became more flat/natural but the low end response still isn't 100% where it used to be.
