I'm reading through the user manual before my comp comes in and don't understand some of the bios options.
The manual says ahci offers better performance. I'm getting a crucial m4 and wd caviar black with win7 x64 ult, I can turn on ahci right? When I overclock my 2500k to 4.4ghz that won't negatively interfere with ahci?
Also I'm getting a sapphire 6950, I don't want any shared memory. I plan on disabling onboard video and onboard sound.
-memory fast boot
-memory power down mode
-hardware prefetcher
-no execute memory protection
-Local x2APIC
-onboard vga share memory
-IGD Multi-Monitor
-dvmt mode select
-dvmt memory
-acpi hpet table
-good night LED (what happens in auto?)
-check ready bit
-over temperature protection
-boot failure guard
Also which chipset/lan drivers should I go with, 32 or 64 bit? I'm just worried the 64 bit drivers would be buggy.
