Here are the specs on the bios from techpower up. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/253337/253337
Bios build date 9-15-2021. The memory in my card is Samsung as you can see in GPU-Z. According to the bios internals, Samsung DDR6 goes to 2250mhz while the Micron and Hynix modules max out at 2000mhz.
SO it already has the updated FASTER bios on then ?

Thats cool. I cant brick it then. Haha.

I get mine in a few days. Hopefully it has the Samsung memory too.

I tried to install the GPU in the potato, and while it detects fine and boots, my drive disappeared. I think the GPU is touching something on the bottom edge near the motherboard. Some electrical tape might solve it. Reinstalled old GPU and the drive is ok.

Hans did your GPU come in a plain cardboard box or retail box?

It came in a brown cardboard box. The box is probably smaller than the retail box but the foam padding is custom fit for the box. It has an Asrock quick install guide book inside. The outside of the box has Asrock sticker with a part number, model number and serial number just like on a graphics card box or motherboard box. Bar codes as well.

Ok thanks. My box is the same as yours. I might try to install again tomorrow to check GPU-Z

GPUz shows mine the same as the one Hans Gruber posted. Windows update got an error on the old platter drive, which won't go away, so I'll have to install on an SSD tomorrow.
EDIT: After installing windows on an ssd (it still has the same failed windows update) and installing latest drivers, I noticed one difference between my GPUz and Hans's. The two memory clocks are 1750 MHz on mine, while Hans's shows 1860 MHz on the top one. Might be because I haven't run anything that would cause it to boost.

I tried to install the GPU two more times and the potato doesn't get along with it. Don't think it is the GPU but rather my potato is too vintage. I'll wait until my new build to try again.

I got mine today. Installed it on my back up to my back up PC.

Uninstalled Nvidia software for the GTX 980 it is replacing. Updated Windows 10. Downloaded new AMD drivers for the card and the new Chipset drivers.
Install was easy.

She runs well. I did some PowerMax to see where the clocks were.

Games are updating/downloading. I have not used this PC in 7 months since we moved recently.

I took photos because it was easier than screeneis and logging back into things.

System is Asrock Killer SLI X370 Mobo
AMD 5600X
32gb ram at 3200mhz 16,16,16
256gb Boot sata
512gb game sata

This card is a bargain at $116 shipped with tax. A far cry from where we were a few years ago.

My advice, don't touch the GPU core clock. The card is already pretty much maxed out on clocks by default. It's been known to black screen in the past. I OC'd and black screened it after hours of gaming a few times. I got a black screen with 1810mhz on the memory. The stock memory clock is 1740mhz. I will try again with a little lower

The memory gets hot when you turn up the mhz. I have been monitoring everything in the AMD control panel.

I plan on keeping it stock for the moment. It runs super well on the games I tried. World of Warships at 2k Max settings and War Thunder. 2K Max settings. 1744 on memory and 1732 on the core is good enough for me. I will do some research on how to overclock or maybe undervolt her like my 3080TI.

Here is a problem some people may face. They are not all 5600XT versions. I ordered a 2nd one and got a 5600 oem.

What is weird, the memory and the core clock are XT but it shows 2048 unified shaders instead of 2304 and ROP TMU is 64.128 instead of 64/144 on the XT bios. The bios version is identical to my first one. The AMD adrenaline software calls my 1st card a 5600XT and the 2nd one is 5600 OEM. GPU-Z shows 5600 OEM. But, the core clock and GDDR6 Samsung Memory is the same as XT version.

If you ordered one of these cards, use GPU-z to verify what you have.

So you got two cards then ? Can you run a benchmark and see what the performance difference is between them ? It doesnt seem like its a deal killer as $116 shipped w/ tax is a great deal still.

I rolled the dice one last time. I got another 5600xt this time just like the 1st card. So I am hitting 2 for 3 with these cards. GPU-Z and AMD Adrenaline recognize the 3rd card as a 5600xt. I have a few legacy cards that need to be replaced. The bios is the same on all three cards. The stock GDDR6 memory is 1750mhz just like the standard 14gbps memory speeds of the updated 5600xt bios.

The 3rd card runs 3-4C cooler than the 1st 5600xt. I assume that is because of a better thermal paste application. Max temps in BF2042 are 68C vs 70-72C. I gave it over an hour to heat up but 68C is all it would do. I should note, that I am running 1440p. That means the card runs a good clip hotter than 1080p gaming.

For people with this card. Only OC the memory or run stock everything. The real magic is in the GDDR6 memory OC. You can get 2-4fps just with memory OC.

Radeon Pro vii can be had now now new for around 320 Euro, but how will the fan be?
Kindly would prefer Rx 5600 for 109 USD which translate to around 100 Euro but we never seem to get such fantastic offer here in EU.
