Question ASRock B650M-HDV/m.2 front-panel jumper issues.

Note that the adjacent horizontal couplings, are what are silk-screened onto the board, but in my case, what I had to do to start the board, was jumper the two blue marked pins, that's how I had to wire POWER_SW.

Anyone else run into this, or aM I the crazy one? I've mostly almost never had the silk-screened markings fail on me.

From the manual it has the normal system panel header arrangement. 6-8 for power switch should have worked.
Do you have a photo of the silk screen?
 
It looks like it matches to me. I believe the issue you have is that the board does not have power on the power switch (+) side so you are now getting it from the reset switch (+). This would work on any motherboard with a standard header layout. You could check with a multimeter. With the power off and the PSU disconnected you should have continuity between the power switch (+) and the reset switch (+) pins.
