Hi all
I have just purchased an asrock 4coredual-sata2 r2.0 motherboard. I want to fit all my old components into this board but I do want to upgrade my CPU. I must try and keep all my old stuff due to shortage of founds at the moment and this motherboard enables me to do that.

But I do have a question to ask if you can help.

The CPU that I want to buy is the Intel E6300 with 1066FSB.

Will my old memory DDR 3200 work 100% OK with this CPU an Intel E6300 with 1066FSB?

Until, I can afford some DDR2 PC2-5300 (677MHz) memory. I can't afford the CPU and new memory at this time.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Either overclock the memory or lower the multiplier on it... or get a different chip?

Could you please explain how this works?

So I can have a better understanding of what I need to do.

Thanks
