Aspirin BEFORE working out?

does anyone else do this? i usually take ~600mg about 30min before working out. it *seems* to help, but i don't know if it really works, or if i'm just a headcase.

I havent tried that...What do you do w/ food before/after working out? I heard its best to not eat before, and eat right away after...but I tend to do better if I at least eat a little before going...

i generally eat after ~20min working out. thats' how long it takes me to get home. i can lift more if i eat BEFORE working out, but i generally can't do abs if i do. so i generally eat afterwards.

There is a weight loss drug called the ECA stack which is Ephedrine Caffine and Aspirin that seems to work pretty well. I am not sure what just Aspirin alone would do though.

aspirin just releases fats into the blood stream. i don't really need caffeine/ephedra to boost my metabolism.

if you can eat within 60 minutes of working out, that's when you'll get the most out of your food b/c you body's metabolism is sped up at that point.

Aspirin's a blood thinner isn't it? Or at least I think it dilates your veins..

At the very least if you keep taking aspirin all the time your system will build up an immunity to it and it won't be very effective anymore..

It seems to help with what?

I'm a cyclist so my workouts are 2-3 hour rides, aspirin does nothing for me but thin the blood and hurt my performance. Am I missing something?

You have it wrong. You need to take a caffeine/nicotine/aspirin combination to boost your metabolism. Aspirin doesn't release fat into your blood stream. It is a vaso-dialator, which helps with circulation, but it doesn't do sh*t to fat.

you should NOT eat before a workout. all the energy in your body gets used in the stomach, leaving less for your muscles when you're lifiting. you want to eat a while before for that reason, so your body has time to process it and you won't lack the energy required to lift. this is the reason behind not going swimming right after a meal, your body basically goes "oh crap, first he's eating and needs energy down there, now he wants it in his arms, huh, wtf" and you cramp up.

???????????????????????????Energy????????????????????????????

No. All the blood goes to your stomach to aid digestion, which creates a lack of oxygen.
