Aspire Cases

Im planning on getting the Aspire (Turbo Case) X-Dreamer, anyone have it? I believe having a fan on the top is important because the hot air rises. Anyone have any other recommendations on what cases are nice?

i have it and like it a lot for what i paid ($50+free shipping). i could have gotten many other cases but i like the digital temp readout in front. it seemed like a really good deal for the price with all the included mods (blowhole, clear window, temp readout, alien grills, led fans).

newegg has the x-dreamer 2 on sale now for about 10-15 bucks more then i got my x-dreamer for. main diff is instead of plastic chrome faux rivets on front they are now 6 LEDs. the case is made of aluminum so it feels kinda flimsy but once you get it together it seems fairly solid. the only thing that i didn't like was that the blowhole on top is only a quarter inch away from the power supply! when i tried to put my hefty 450 watt kigwin in, it wouldn't fit - the power supply was too long. so i am still using the stock PSU and everything seems ok. i am just mainly worried about a crappy PSU frying my components. so if you have your own PSU you want to put in, keep that in mind. I think the included PSU was 5 1/4" to 5 3/4" (do not remember sorry). the whole thing took about 5 hours to put together (removing components from beige box and reinstalling in new one). it didn't include an instruction booklet either.

fdisk,
. Ever consider mounting the blow hole fan on the outside of the case so your PSU would fit? there are lots of slick looking fans - Chrome plated, LED, etc. - add a laser-cut finger guard (from svc.com et al.) and it could look pretty good.
.bh.

yeah I was thinking about that, but I duno it might end up looking funky and I bought the case for looks. at the first hint of trouble with the provided psu i'll probably do it. so far its been running 1-2 months with no issues so i've had no need to (crosses fingers).

ahh ok thank.

i've seen them at computer shows and they are nicely constructed. before i decided on a case, i tried my hardest to see the case in person. i can't really make a good purchase if i haven't seen the case or know someone who has the same likes as i do.

my friend bought this case online cause he thought it look cool. he brought it over to build his rig and it was shoddy in material and very tacky looking. they can only show so much in a small picture.
