ASPI for WinXP - need WINASPI.DLL and WOWPOST.EXE ??

i installed the latest aspi files 4.711,


but now aspi cheaker returns htis

WINASPI32.DLL 4.711
WINASPI.DLL N/A
ASPI32.DLL 4.711
WOWPOST.EXE N/A

ASPI is not properly installed. One or more components
have been replaced with older versions of the software.


the adaptec logo is red, (means not rightly set ??)

i downloaded the files from adaptec,

am i right to run with this ?? (do alot of DVD rips and CD burning)

solutions, examples of other systems etc ??

Windows XP doesn't use Wowpost.exe nor Winaspi.dll. It will display a warning that components are missing, but those two files aren't needed.

you can download forceaspi if you really want them. i think cdrwin doesn't work unless you have all of them.

yeah i downloaded forceaspi but was reluctant to install as i saw from a screenshot they are the old 4.60 rather then the new 4.71

i figured the new ones would be better, but the incompletness baffled me

would using the 4.60 apsi drivers, BUT with all of them be better ??
