Asking Password in Win2K But Set Never Expires

I have Win2K Workstations in the office on the LAN. Started today, when several user logs in as always, it asked them their password is about to expire, and to change their password.

However, on the Win2K Server with Service Pack 3, all users has a check next to: 1) User cannot change password; 2) Password never expires.

Yet, the Workstations are showing that the user's password is expiring. Unfortunately all computers are not under Domain, but are Workgroups. Would this be the cause? What about the workstation itself? Does it have the function like the Server where I can check box the password never expires?

It sounds like you're mixing up your domain logins with your local logins. If you set password expiration on the domain it will only apply to domain accounts. Any local login's will have to have "password never expires" set on the actual local account (Computer Management / User and groups) rather than at the domain (Active directory users and computers).
