You don't need advice. You already accomplished the hard part and it doesn't hurt you know her pretty well from being friends. You can see if she acts normally or not, then you'll know if she wants to go further (I guess this is advice)... but anyway... I just wanted to say congrats.

You seem pretty smart to me,the only advice I'd give you is to just try to relax and enjoy your prom🙂
 
I'm a fan of the "hang-out-with-her-on-a-couple-date-like-nights-then-go-for-the-kiss-then-be-honest-the-relationship" approach.

Is she a senior? Do you plan on taking this relationship to college? Otherwise, you may want to be honest, that you're not in the place to have a serious relationship right now, but you'd like to have an informal one because you just have such a dog-gone good time with her.

Hehe... if you happen to get the jackpot, you'll get the emotional bond (and the nookie) without the strings attached 😉. Haha

Actually we're both juniors, and I like this girl enough to try to be serious about it. I know you all think high school relationships are bunk anyway, but hey, my parents met in high school, and look how it worked out for them 🙂
 
hs relationship ain't sh*t... I met my gf since 10th grade, now we are both in the same college the 2nd year.. we are goin' good 🙂... there is not a definate way to go.. you just have to know her feeling well.. don't do something she doesn't like.. talk more.
 
i think the advice you've been given thus far is good. just take her our before the prom. in fact, take her out this weekend. hell, call her now!
