that sound right?

also what about the UPS Basic Ground service, can you elaborate on how that service is different from regular ground?

oh and i did have a package sit in billing info received until the day it was to be delivered. its like it was never scanned until that day. really odd but glad i waited it out.

USPS isn't making enough to atleast profit I believe

UPS = UPS Mail Innovations
DHL = DHL @ Home
Fedex = Smart Post

Basically I guess some companies that want really cheap service
and can just use their same main Carrier

Company makes UPS Mail Innovation label and UPS adds the USPS Label

Why does UPS deliver packages as fast as they can while Fedex works as slow as possible?

Real example: 2 day UPS shipment comes in the next day.

2 day FedEx shipment that originates 45 minutes away from destination takes 2 full days. The first night they moved the package to Oakland, 10 minutes away from my fvcking apartment, and they left it there for the whole next day...

UPS just delivers it when they can. The lengths are estimates, basically. FedEx takes that EXACT time. Half the time my UPS stuff comes early; FedEx is never late, but they are NEVER early. The only plus side to FedEx is that they hire out their drivers (some of them don't have FedEx trucks, I guess you could call them freelance) and they sometimes deliver stuff early just because they're nice guys (happened to me once).

Why does UPS suck so much?

UPS is overloaded with packages

Almost everywhere ships with UPS

My problem with UPS is that they suck on the actual delivery end. My UPS packages never have a problem getting to my town, they just have a problem getting to my door. I wonder if the guy just sees the undelivered packages in the back and just thinks "Fsck 'em, I don't feel like delivering them"

I guess you get what you pay for in shipping. FedEx always arrives early for me.

Ive had average joe contractors working for Fedex deliver stuff to my work, they always show up early and are generally more helpful when a problem arises. Fedex ftw!

UPS just lost my passport. It got shipped from a company in Chicago to our office in Bufflao Grove, IL, which should take one day. It was last scanned in Palatine on Thursday of last week which is about 8 miles from our Buffalo Grove Office. Still not received. What did they do with it?
This is the second time they have lost a passport for someone at our company.
How do they manage to do this?

Why do you send PASSPORT with sucky UPS? Especially after they lost one before? USPS FTW.

Work was handling it for me and I didn't know UPS had lost one previously.
We are changing to FedEx now.

I have a USPS question. I sold a Samsung 930B LCD though eBay and shipped it USPS. I put delivery confirmation on it and $400 insurance. Delivery confirmation shows that the package was delivered, but the man says it was not delivered and has Paypal pulled his money back. If I give the guy the benifit of the doubt and believe that he never received the package can I explore the insurance route even though delivery confirmation shows it was delivered?

Why is it that I miss a delivery from Fedex, I go pick it up, no problem.

I miss a delivery from UPS, I have to call to have them hold it (which I did), they fvck it up and don't set it aside, "unload" the box from the truck, put it on the "belt", and now have absolutely no way to access my package till Monday when it's loaded up again for delivery?

It just makes no sense to me that they have no way to access their own packages in their own building....

Can you give me some technical specifications on UPS's cloaking device?

I can be sitting on my front porch with a laptop on the tracking page hitting refresh. As soon as the page comes up 'delivered, customer not home; left on porch' my package magically appears but I didn't see him come or go.

I am confused. Did you contact UPS and next day the package went back with the driver? And when the Driver was in your area... scanned the package, his device told him to bring it back to the Warehouse.

Happened to me. Call asap... before the warehouse closes
