OK, I've been having some weird sickness lately, and before any of you say anything, I am getting it all checked out as fast as I can, so it's not an "Ask ATOT now, check with Doctors later" kind of thing.

Here we go:

Heart palpitations
Lower half of heart at times beats before top half, resulting in a large feeling thump. This happens quite often.

Diarrhea
Paired with either:
1. Severe, debilitating stomach cramps
Eventually it's just all water, no feces
2. Flushing of my body (skin turns red) and feeling of warmth
This also pairs with hives

I've had a heart monitor for 24 hours, waiting for results.
Getting an ultrasound of my gallbladder Monday.

Carcinoid Syndrome seems like a possibility?

Edit: This has been over the timeframe of a few months.

Diet? Are you eating healthy?

Normal diet; in fact, when the symptoms first started, I was 3-months in a very healthy workout routine and diet. Now I don't exercise very much because I'm worried about my heart, but I keep my diet pretty regular.

I'm not a doctor, but I bet you have some kind of digestive condition or food poisoning. When your stomach is churning enough, it can feel like heart palpitations. The rest of the symptoms sound like you ate something and it made you sick, or a food allergy.

Given that I watch House pretty regularly, I think I'm qualified to take a guess here. I'm going to go with gastroenteritis. Could also be some type of chemical food poisoning, maybe scombroid from eating bad fish?

Timespan of a few months. I will update.

I'm going to go with gastroenteritis or possibly Crohn's. By the way, I do hope you're actually seeing a doctor, that it's nothing serious, and that you feel better. It sucks to wonder what the hell is going on.

I had a scare in my early 20's. I was losing feeling on the left side of my face. Went to the ER a couple of times, thinking I was somehow having a stroke. Each time, came back clean, and each time I went to a neurologist. He was stumped, head/neck MRI came back clean twice. Thought the episodes could be due to TIA. During a routine dental exam, they saw my wisdom teeth growing along my jaw line, fully impacted. Referred me out to a surgeon, who did a panoramic x-ray, and told me I had the root from a wisdom tooth growing very close to (i think) my trigeminal nerve. I had my wisdom teeth out, they were able to get in and get those roots entirely, and I never lost feeling in my face again.

Yeah, I'm actually seeing a doctor. It's nothing too serious yet, so it's kind of slow moving right now. I feel an internal rush to get things figured out, but stuff like CT scans are expensive and if an ultrasound can figure things out then I'm willing to wait. The worst part is waiting; I'd rather they tell me I have the damn tumors.

I've switched to a veggie diet this month and I haven't had any chest pain so far this month. My hands get random fatigue though. Aaaaah shit, fatigue can lead to heart disease too. This is bullshit! Fuck my life.

What the hell is this? Is this supposed to be some kind of ironic comment? " Daaaaah I switched to a veggies diet, now my hands get random fatigue."

Lmao. Way to dump on the thread.

Sounds like it might be a simple magnesium deficiency to me. The American diet contains too many refined foods, excessively much calcium (and Omega 6) without the proper balance of magnesium and Omega 3. Just don't bother with mag oxalate or citrate, which is usually sold as a laxative.

A truly good bioavailable source is malate, or chelated (i.e. Albion's dimagnesium malate.) If you cannot take more than 400mg daily without constipation, try Jigsaw's sustained release magnesium.

Also try a good antihistamine for the skin flushing.

Lately, there seems to be "outrage" towards people who add anything other than pecans to pecan pie - but, I've found that dried cherries and bits of dark chocolate go really well. Also, if you are going to make the crust from scratch, you might as well as some crushed pecans into the crust mix. It works really nicely.

Have you considered that the "diet" you are on is not right for you?

There have been some studies that say generics determine what foods are best for you. Just because something works for john doe does not mean its going to work for you.

Maybe you are having a mild allergic reaction to something you are eating?

Diarrhea means your bowels are irritated, but irritated by what?

What I meant was, that my diet is normal and hasn't changed since before I was sick, minus removing some bad things from my diet (soda's, a lot of junk, etc...).
