Do you check for snakes that can come through the toilet before you take a number 2?

It does happen. Google it (if you want)

One more thing to think about.

what precautions have you taken to insure that the batteries in your laptop, cell phone, tv remote, car, etc... do not short out from overcharging, overdischarging, heat, internal shorting, etc... and explode or have an exothermic reaction while you are in the vicinity.

do you apply sunblock whenever you leave the house? are you concerned with skin cancer?

do you check under your bed for monsters whenever you go to sleep? do you sleep with garlic, a wooden stake, or holy cross near you to fend off vampires who might feed on you in the middle of the night?

I think about the risk of batteries exploding, but most of the time they don't cause major injury. Maybe some burns.

Sunblock has too many chemicals that might be dangerous. I try to avoid the sun.

Monsters are not real. Vampires are not real. Ghosts are not real.

You are going to die whether you like it or not. Whether it is at 25 or 85 your life will still barely register on the time scale of the universe.

Does it bother you that your friends have taken out a large life insurance policy on you with themselves as beneficiaries?

Why did you have that RFID chip embedded under your skin?

Can you tell that your hard drive has been scanned and copied and that things are being undeleted from it at this very moment?

And yes that is a TEMPEST system in the parked vehicle outside of your place.

What is a Tempest system.

My hard drive doesn't worry me. It's just a bunch of mechanical and electrical components.

Do you not walk over grates on sidewalks for fear that you will fall in?

Yes. I only walk on grates that I have concluded to be safe after analyzing them for a few seconds before I step on them. Some of them you can tell that there is a 0% risk of them falling in.

I never step on a grate or a manhole.

If you never step on one, then its pretty hard to fall in one.

You are a hotdog.

Have you always been this paranoid? If not, was there a specific event that caused your current level of paranoia or was it a progression? Do you hate your parents? Do you feel 'safe' wearing pantyhose? Are your precious bodily fluids being adulterated by fluoridation?
