Do you not walk over grates on sidewalks for fear that you will fall in?

Yes. I only walk on grates that I have concluded to be safe after analyzing them for a few seconds before I step on them. Some of them you can tell that there is a 0% risk of them falling in.
No you can't. There could be cracks on the bottom that will only break under your full weight.
Those welds might be juuuust ready to break.

Ok. Starting now: no more walking on grates.

My room has no vents whatsoever. I use an electrical heater and I don't have an AC. I have a mesh on my windows, and I do open the windows sometimes, but the mesh protects me from the bugs that could cause death and sickness.

I don't use public restrooms that much. If I do, I don't worry too much, since the risk of anything happening there is very small. I carry hand sanitizer everywhere.
What if a bug lands on the screen and sticks its ovipositor through the screen, and lays eggs on the inside of the room? Then what?
And bugs can always get into your room, assuming you don't have a decontamination chamber or airlock to get in. That door's got to be opened at some point in time.

How clean is your keyboard?

Sunlight causes cancer.

Are you allergic to beestings?

Do you thoroughly sterilize all food yourself?

I do my best, but I am sane enough to know that it is impossible for me to reduce the risk to 0. I reduce risks as much as I can.

I clean the keyboard daily. And my hands.

I'll answer more later. Gotta get back to work....

Have you ever had your steering wheel come loose while driving, separating completely from the steering column?

I have.

Narrator: A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

Business woman on plane: Are there a lot of these kinds of accidents?

Narrator: You wouldn't believe.

Business woman on plane: Which car company do you work for?

Narrator: A major one.

Nice  It's about time I rewatched that movie.

Do you check to see if some one is in the shower stall before you use the toilet.

I use clear shower curtains. I could spot a cockroach through the curtains. Speaking of insects, my room is hermetically sealed. No cracks on walls, closets or anything. I am actually 98% that there are no multicellular organisms in my room when I sleep.

what about yourself? did I just blow your mind?

Do you know what kind of germs and bacteria that are on the elevator buttons at your office. If you take the stairs, same goes for the handrail. If you don't use the handrail, are you aware that you've significantly increased your chance of injury like slipping and falling down the stairs?

what aspect of death is it that makes you so afraid (besides the obvious of not being around anymore, but if you think about it you wouldn't mind that because you'd be dead)?

I'm paranoid about death and risks. I always overanalyze small risks and try to decrease them by any means possible.

Ask away...

How would you know if our questions are designed to make you look bad?

Christ, what is life if you don't live it with risks? Way to not experience anything. All that stuff rules you. Once you realize that once you stop caring about all of those, you'll realize life is much better than it seems right now. Seriously dude, GTFO and do something. Don't play everything so freakin' safe.

Full of fail.

Did you know hundreds of people go to emergency rooms every year for roaches that crawled in their ears while sleeping?

How many guns do you own?

How many guns do you carry on your person when you go out?

How many guns do you carry on your person when locked and barricaded inside your own home?

I don't think I have OCD. Maybe a little.

You're paranoid and you don't own guns?

How do sleep at night with the knowledge that anyone could break down your door and kill you at any time and you'd be powerless to stop them?

have you ever watched the final destination movies?

Hell yeah. They scare me to death.... especially when I'm working out in the gym. The gym is the most dangerous place I visit.

Do you check for snakes that can come through the toilet before you take a number 2?

It does happen. Google it (if you want)

what precautions have you taken to insure that the batteries in your laptop, cell phone, tv remote, car, etc... do not short out from overcharging, overdischarging, heat, internal shorting, etc... and explode or have an exothermic reaction while you are in the vicinity.

do you apply sunblock whenever you leave the house? are you concerned with skin cancer?

do you check under your bed for monsters whenever you go to sleep? do you sleep with garlic, a wooden stake, or holy cross near you to fend off vampires who might feed on you in the middle of the night?
