yeah, that's happened maybe once or twice.. either I'd be too lazy to move up front.. or ditto for my passengers.

I have never heard of this being intentional, sans kids being too small for the airbags.

A. It's an evolutionary thing that we haven't adapted yet... rickshaw>bicyles>scooters>and now a real vehicle for a change...

B. You would understand if you were at our level of mathematics.

C. Are you sure they weren't Indian?

D. Really I've never seen this except when I lived in a town full of Koreans and there were a lot of Limosine Taxi's around...

Very common, where most likely the one in the passenger seat is too short to see over the dashboard or side window. :p

This made me LOL. the back seats are passenger seats!

I believe the back seats cause less motion sickness. But if I am driving with only one passenger he/she better be in the front.

What do you live? I haven't seen them before. If I did, it was extreme rare and I've forgotten. I've lived in Boston and NYC.

What are you talking about? This never happens. I come from Asian-ville too with a mostly Asian population around my neighborhood and I don't see this. What do you mean by adults. Like mid 30s? 40s? Older? I see too many HS kids and college students around my town simply because it's a place for good schools and in the summer it's just kids out of HS or people who came back from college or the recent grads who are working in the silicon valley. Either way, I don't see it.

ahahaha...i've always wondered this too. My friend would always get in the backseat of the car when his mom was driving and no one was in the passenger's seat. I never understood it.

Yeah, that came off as odd to me. I assume his brother married a girl who was divorced from another guy.

I've only seen it with the elderly because my grandmother just feels safer in the back and prefers to sit there instead.
