working dogs need to be cooked for a long time over low heat so the meat can become tender. I prefer braising or BBQ.

lap dogs don't really have a lot of meat, so they're best deep fried (like quail)

Let me help with that...

It's usually the larger breeds that are consumed. As someone pointed out earlier, the lapdogs don't have a lot of meat on them.

Although I've not partaken in the eating of dogs, I've eaten women who have eaten dogs. They were delectable.

There are usually dogs bred specifically for livestock...they don't look much like a lapdog or pet.

Cats are a different matter. Those that eat them usually just take whatever is available.
